Our Amber is not a resin, never been treated artificially to look pretty and sparkly and sun-kissed. There's a very high scammy quotient among products being specifically sold as "healing" amber. Basically, if you decide to buy a cheap one just to see if it works at all, you're probably still getting ripped off with stones that don't really contain much of the magic succinic acid (natural analgesic) in the first place. Huge amount of so called "amber" currently sold on amazon and ebay is simply molded from Fenolic Resins, Celluloid, Glass, Copal, or Modern plastic.
Treated Amber (sparkly, shiny, round, polished) may look pretty as a common jewelry, but it most definitely has lost some of its healing powers and on top of it is likely to be fake.
